Even till this day, some people would still come to me and demand that I have to paint what I see, abstract only from life, from nature.
I've said it to Hofmann before, and I'll say it again.
I am nature.
(FYI: Hofmann had been a leading exponent of Cubist at that time, and though some says that my (earlier) paintings sort of resembles a Cubist's work, I am unlike them. I do not simply sit and observe the nature out there, I embrace it, I claim it.)
